Daryl Walczak, Brings over 35 years of competitive playing and coaching experience to XCEL. He grew up playing goalie in Buffalo NY. He then went on to play at Fredonia University. He has spent the last 12 years coaching both ice and inline hockey, including 5 seasons assisting the University of Richmond.

Dr. James Hurtubise, Ph.D. During my twelve year tenure in the field of strength and conditioning, I have worked with athletes from a variety of sports at a variety of different age and ability levels. As I received my Bachelor's Degree in Health & Fitness at Springfield College, Springfield, MA, I worked with a wide variety of sports in high school, college, semi-pro and professional levels. As I completed an intersnhip in this program, I got the opportunity to work at International Performance Institute, Bradenton, FL. It was there where I had the unique experience to work with Mike Richter, Former Goalie for the New York Rangers, Kobe Bryant, NBA Star, Nomar Garciaparra, LA Dodgers Player, and several world renowned tennis stars, including Venus & Serena Williams, Mary Pierce, and Nick Bollettieri. During my Master's (Sports Management) and Doctoral work (Community Health Education) at The University of Tennessee, Knoxville, I served as an Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Lady Volunteers, while also volunteering in the Men's Athletic Department. If I can be of any assistance to you, please do not hesitate to ask. It has most certainly been a pleasure working with your child over the past two weeks! Watching athletes "get it" and "Xcel" at their skills, drills, and to see it carry over into their sport, is something that I take great pride in.
